All about Baulkham Hills Baulkham Hills, Sydney belongs to the local government area of the Hills Shire and it is located around 31 km from the Sydney Central Business District. Despite the fact that Baulkham Hills is not close to the Sydney CBD when compared to other popular towns, this suburb continues to be the most populous suburb of Sydney. The major public transportation of the suburb is bus service. Number of bus routes cover this suburb including 610, 610X, 614X and 615X. Metro bus routes M60 and M61 also serve this suburb. The major shopping centre of the suburb is the Stockland Shopping Centre, which is on the intersection of Windsor Road and Old Northern Road. This shopping centre has number of supermarkets including Coles, Woolworths and Aldi. Besides these branded supermarkets, there are also many retail specialty shops. This shopping centre was expanded to increase the floor space. Another major shopping centre of the suburb is Norwest Marketown, which is on the northern part of the suburb. This shopping precinct is however only partially in Baulkham Hills while the major part spreads into Bella Vista. This suburb has good healthcare facilities and a private hospital, The Hills Private Hospital. Baulkham Hills is known for its many parks and reserve areas. One of the most popular reserve areas in Baulkham Hills is the Bidjigal Reserve. Other smaller reserves in this suburb are the Sophia Doyle Reserve and the Crestwood Reserve. Baulkham Hills also has number of public schools. This suburb has more than ten schools ranging from primary schools to high school. The residents of the suburb therefore need not have to worry about the schooling needs of their children.
